The Dunwoody Nature Center has released its Summer Concert Series band list with an eclectic mix of local favorites and up and coming national acts. The expanded Summer Concert Series, sponsored by the City of Dunwoody, kicks off on May 12 with Dunwoody’s own Sunset Ride. Shows will be held every other Saturday through July 21 for a total of six concerts. With the addition of the North Woods Pavilion building (expected to be open in time for the June shows), concerts will be held rain or shine.
Guests to the Summer Concert Series are encouraged to pack a picnic along with a blanket or a beach chair for the evening and set up in the shade of the meadow or on the back deck of the education building. For adult guests, the Nature Center will feature a rotating selection of craft beers chosen specifically for that evening’s show. As always, the Nature Center concerts are free to member families. Admission is $5 for non-member adults, $3 for non-member students, and free to children 3 and under. Concerts begin at 7:00 and generally run until 9:00. The Nature Center’s website at http://dunwoodynature.org/2018-summer-concert-series/ contains a full concert lineup, band biographies and press kit, and also features a specially curated Spotify playlist that samples music from the summer performers.
