Dunwoody high school lady wildcats finish strong

Dunwoody High School’s Lady Wildcats Varsity Softball season finished their tough yet spectacular season Wednesday night, falling to Allatoona High School in the second round of the State AAAAAA playoffs.  Dunwoody’s overall record was 22-7 and regional record was 12-4.  Pitcher Samantha Moss’s season ERA was an outstanding 2.78.  The team batting average was .385 and on-base percentage was .448.   They faced extremely tough regional opponents all season, including Cambridge and Pope, two of the top teams in the State who have both advanced to the final 8 in the State playoffs.

Giving back to the community is extremely important to the players and Head Coach Kerry Brown (pictured to the far right).  This Sunday afternoon, the Lady Wildcats host their third annual Special Sports softball game with special needs children in the Dunwoody community.  The event includes a fun game and lunch for the entire family.
