From the Atlanta Business Chronicle
Metro Atlanta’s newest food hall is on track to debut this fall.
The venture will be a cornerstone of a major redevelopment in Dunwoody.
Florida-based The Vigor Group hopes to open The Hall at Ashford Lane in November, “if not earlier,” Managing Partner Jamal Wilson told Atlanta Business Chronicle. Construction is about 60% complete.
The food hall is part of the larger Ashford Lane development, formerly known as Perimeter Place. Florida-based CTO Realty bought the property for $75 million in February 2020 and is rebranding it.
The Hall at Ashford Lane has signed six restaurants to leases and is looking to bring in “three or four more,” Wilson said. The Vigor Group hopes to round out the food hall’s lineup with Atlanta-based restaurants. The company is not seeking specific types of cuisine, but instead is looking for operators and concepts that can handle the unique aspects of food hall business.
“Can the chef handle the volume?” Wilson said. “Are they used to working with a community of other chefs? We look at a person more for their technical expertise than for a specific type of cuisine.”
So far, The Vigor Group has recruited restaurants from a mix of local and out-of-state tenants: Renzo (Cuban cuisine), Itzayana (Mexican), Wabi Sabi (Asian street food), Huli Bowl (poke and Hawaiian barbecue), Chef & I, (American fusion), and Fork & Hen (Southern comfort food).
