The third phase of Green Light Art is now on display, along with a new functional sculpture at Brook Run Park.
Dunwoody, GA – October 31, 2023 – To cap off Dunwoody Arts & Culture Month, Phase III of the City’s popular Green Light Art project is complete with new designs installed on five traffic signal boxes. Unveiled in November 2022, the public art display now features 15 original canvases that were digitized, printed, and wrapped onto the boxes.
“Our growing Green Light Art project shows our ongoing commitment to public art in Dunwoody,” said Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch. “These pieces of art spread color and creativity throughout the city, and I’m particularly proud of the way we’re able to showcase the work of young artists.”
Phase III features the work of Dunwoody High School students, who created their designs for Dunwoody’s Storefront Art project. Their art was displayed in Dunwoody Village businesses over the summer. The student artists are Shrividya Guru, Pressley Rogers, Yonji Yang, Ameilia Mutert, and Laura Pollock.
Considering the impact of weather on the art, the wraps are expected to last three to five years. The City of Dunwoody plans additional wraps in the future.

In addition, Dunwoody City Council, Dunwoody Parks and Recreation, and the Dunwoody Art Commission unveiled a new public art installation at Brook Run Park on October 19. Grounded Gathering is a beautiful and functional sculpture with an awe-inspiring, 15-foot flower and wide leaves that serve as benches. Designed and fabricated by artist Huelani Mei Fogleman, it’s the sister sculpture to Grounded Growth, a sculpture that serves as a bike rack for residents and visitors. Both are located near the Great Lawn and Amphitheater.
Dunwoody Arts & Culture Month is an annual celebration for locals and tourists alike to immerse themselves in the community’s rich art, culture and nature. Additional photos are available upon request.
