Dunwoody, GA – February 3, 2022 – The City of Dunwoody invites community members to nominate deserving candidates for the 2021 Sustainability Hero Awards. Initiated in 2012 and presented by Dunwoody’s Sustainability Committee, the Sustainability Hero Award program honors exemplary individuals and organizations to recognize their dedication, service, and leadership in sustainable practices.
“Through this program, we hope to inspire everyone to see how they can take part in protecting our natural resources and improving our community,” said Allegra DeNooyer, Planner and staff liaison to Dunwoody’s Sustainability Committee. “We look forward to opening the nomination process and learning more about local individuals and groups going above and beyond to support and appreciate our natural world.”
The nomination period for the 2021 Sustainable Hero Award program begins February 1 and runs through February 25, 2022. Interested residents, local nonprofits, and area businesses can participate in the process by filling out an online nomination form. The winners will be selected by Dunwoody’s Sustainability Committee and announced in April.
