An interactive workshop empowering parents to be their children’s advocate. With 30 years of experience in this field, Elaine Lacour will help parents identify the red flags of dyslexia and provide next steps and resources to diagnosing your child. This is a workshop for anyone who wonders why their child is not meeting his/her full potential or simply wants to be more informed about this fairly common, but often undiagnosed challenge.
After 19 years at the Atlanta Speech School, Elaine Lacour retired but still wants to help families and kids identify dyslexia and get the help they need. She will be joined by a panel of parents sharing their own journeys with dyslexia and the progress they have seen in their students, with Q&A for all of them.
Children’s program for all ages features a preview of Redeemer’s summer sports camp (Summer’s Best Two Weeks – Atlanta) for ages 4-18 and safe & fun childcare for 0-3, with dinner included for all.
Cost is $25/individual or $50/family – food will be provided for everyone during the 30-minute break following the main speaker.
