DHS Rock Band Wins Battle of the Bands

Lucy and The Glassmen, an alternative rock band that includes DHS students Lucy Yates, Brian Weinshenker, and Noah Covey, won the annual Battle of the Bands competition on Sunday, March 18, which was sponsored by Dunwoody Preservation Trust and Mark Gallegos of Dunwoody Music.  The band will get to perform on stage at the Lemonade Days Festival on Saturday, April 21, immediately preceding the popular Dunwoody Idol singing contest.  Lucy and The Glassmen will also be awarded a full-service session of professional recording time to produce one finished track, plus a featured appearance at a young artists musical review to be staged at a local venue in the fall.
