The following teachers who were selected as the Wildcat Senior Football players favorite faculty members. They came out in the pouring rain to celebrate with the seniors on Saturday night before a big win over Johns Creek High. Due to time constraints before kickoff we were unable to properly announce details about each of these fabulous teachers so wanted to take the opportunity to brag about them here.

Gregoire, Katherine
Math
My fellow wildcats, I am honored to be receiving this award and I am so sorry I am unable to be here in person. To the class of 2018, specifically the senior football players who nominated me for this award, I will always cherish the memories I have with all of you whether I had you for Geometry or last year for Advanced Algebra. Your class has this energy that is contagious and I love the way you came together despite your differences and rocked out some math with me. I will miss you next semester but promise I will be back May 21st for graduation to congratulate all of you on this monumental milestone. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and remember, once a wildcat, always a wildcat ❤
McFerrin, Tom
Administrator
I remember my days, as a student at DHS, sitting in the stands at North DeKalb Stadium for Friday night football!! I lettered all 4 years on the Varsity Tennis team at DHS and went on to the University of Georgia where I served as the team manager for the #1 ranked UGA men’s tennis team. I want to wish all of our fall athletes, especially our seniors, the best in all that they do and keep that Wildcat Pride alive!
McSorley, Luke
Social Studies
Luke and his wife both graduated from Dunwoody High School. He wrestled for Dunwoody and now coaches both baseball and wrestling in addition to teaching social studies.
Nash, Tracy
Admin Support
Tracy is obvioulsy the first lady of Wildcat football! However, until she was married to a football coach she did not like football! She would work the gate at the games in the HS she worked at but would not actually watch the games. She is proud to say that she has spent 19 years since then watching the games from the stands.
Puckett, Wendy
Learning Specialist/PARA
Wendy graduated from Peachtree High School back when Mr. McFerrin’s dad was the head football coach. She was a cheerleader all five years, played on the tennis team and played softball! She then went on to graduate from UGA. She loves working with the special people, she says that it’s amazing to see the football players and the entire student body interact with them. Wendy says that Dunwoody High School is a great place to be and she wishes all the seniors good luck.
Rodgers, Tanisha
Science
Dr. Rodgers loves teaching and caring for “”her”” seniors and giving them her very best each and everyday! She went to Lee High Magnet School and was on the dance team! She would like to offer these encouraging words: “”In life, you will endure challenges. No one is exempt. But…Never, ever give up and pursue your passion and success will always follow you!”” Proud of you football players! She will see you in class on Monday for the Power Point!
Scott, Wendell
Custodial Staff
Mr. Scott played football in high school and college. He is from Ackron, Ohio. He has two football playing sons:
Peyton Scott, who graduated last year and now plays football at Albany State, and
Evan Scott who is a freshman and plays on the varsity team.
Mr. Scott wants to tell the players thanks for voting for him and to “remember that when things get rough to stay encouraged … life is long and sometimes hard, but keep at it.”
Siegel, Paul
English
Mr. Siegel curls (the winter sport) as often as he can; he plays in two leagues and travels to tournaments whenever possible.
He also was a 4 year letter man for golf in high school, but hasn’t touched a club in ages. He was on the crew team in college. He wants to remind everyone to buy a yearbook and/or a senior ad before the deadline!
