The Georgia Department of Education has released the 2014-2015 ACT scores: http://www.gadoe.org/External-Affairs-and-Policy/communications/Documents/ACT%20for%20Georgia%202015%20Public%20Schools.xlsx?NoRedirect=true
It’s interesting to note that while participation in the ACT by DCSS students rose in 2015, the composite score overall also rose a bit. That is a positive.
4 DeKalb high schools reported scores higher than the national composite average of 21.0: Chamblee, DeKalb School of the Arts, Dunwoody, and Lakeside.
Those high schools highlighted in blue saw an increase in participation in the ACT in 2015 over 2014. The scores at the majority of these schools either stayed even or saw an increase.
Dunwoody HS saw an increase of 50 students taking the ACT over 2014. The composite score rose to 23.1 from 22.6 in 2014.
Dunwoody HS was 2nd among high schools in the number of ACT test-takers (198). Lakeside HS had 239 of its students take the ACT.
Score breakdown by subject matter should be released by the Georgia Office of Student Achievement at a later date. Read more
