DUNWOODY, Ga. — Dads and their kids will be able to team up and take on obstacles inspired by reality tv during the second “Checklist Challenge” on October 25 at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody.
Registration is now open for the event, which is designed by a group called Dads’ Bucket List.
The goal is to encourage dads to take a break from their busy careers and engage with their kids in unique, shared experiences. It’s also a great way to get kids to unplug from electronics. Read the rest of the story on 11Alive News and also register your teen to volunteer!
Volunteers at the event will help at different obstacle/challenge stations and get to play the role of TV host. Volunteers can register for one of two time slots (10-2pm or 2pm-6pm) on the registration site at the link below (scroll down to see the two volunteer times). Each volunteer will receive their own “buff” like the ones worn on Survivor and we’ll also have refreshments available for them.
Part of the proceeds will benefit Bert’s Big Adventure, which takes very sick children on very elaborate trips to Disney World every year.
