Cool off and relax on warm evenings watching a popular movie as the Dive-In Movie Nights and Movies in the Moonlight film series return to Brookhaven throughout the summer at: Skyland Park, 2600 Skyland Drive; Murphey Candler Park, 1551 W. Nancy Creek; Briarwood Park, 2235 Briarwood Way NE., and Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
Slated so far are: How to Train Your Dragon: A Hidden World for the first Movies in the Moonlight viewing on June 7 at Skyland Park and Aquaman for the first Dive-In Movie set for June 15 at Murphey Candler Park.
Released in 2019 and rated PG, How to Train Your Dragon: A Hidden World is a surprising tale about growing up, finding the courage to face the unknown … and how nothing can ever train you to let go. What began as an unlikely friendship between an adolescent Viking and a fearsome Night Fury dragon has become an epic trilogy spanning their lives. When the sudden appearance of a female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat their village has ever faced, Hiccup and Toothless must journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth.
In 2018’s Aquaman, rated PG-13, Arthur Curry, the human-born heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, goes on a trip of a lifetime. Not only does this adventure compel him to come to terms with his real identity, but it also forces him to discover whether he is entirely worthy of fulfilling his own destiny: becoming a king.
Future Movies in the Moonlight films are set for July 19 (Brookhaven Park) and August 2 (Blackburn Park). The next Dive-In Movie will be July 13 (Briarwood Park). Details for these viewings will be released closer to the event date.
All Dive-In movies are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. while the Movies in the Moonlight events run from 7:30-11 p.m. All movie showings are free of charge and concession stands will be available to purchase snacks.
