My husband asked me this question yesterday. I figured others may want to know the answer so here’s what I learned from the City of Dunwoody:
Georgetown Gateway Work
Utility and survey crews have started work on the Georgetown Gateway Project along Chamblee-Dunwoody Road between I-285 and N. Shallowford Road. This work includes underground utility relocation and selective tree removal within the right-of-way. At the end of the multi-year project, 95 new street trees will be planted on both sides of the roadway. The project is part of a plan that began in 2014 to improve traffic flow and to create a more welcoming environment for bicyclists, pedestrians, non-motorized users.
