From the Dunwoody Police Department Facebook Page entry on September 1, 2013:
Dunwoody Officers and Dekalb County Fire and EMS responded to a local Dunwoody pool in reference to a child unresponsive. The lifeguards on duty performed CPR. The child was alert and breathing and was taken to the hospital for further treatment. Great job by the lifeguards!!
Note from Audra: A Mill Glen friend told me that this happened at their pool on Sunday. Kudos to the lifeguard and to the woman who helped pull the child out of the pool! If any of you were there and you have comments to add with more details to share please feel free to add a comment to this post!
David Fleming was the hero life guard at Mill Glen. He sprang into action and started CPR on the child which was drowning…doing what he was trained and prepared to do. His dear family (Michael & Kathy,Laura & Jane)lives in the Branches and have added so much to the lives of those around them! David just graduated from Marquette and is preparing to leave for Thailand to teach English. We are all so proud of him.
