CDC warns Zika spread expected in Georgia

The spread of Zika is going to increase in Georgia from travel, sexual transmission and local spread of the virus, according to Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

CDC Director Dr. Thomas R. Frieden is pushing Congress to release $2 billion in funding that has been delayed in Washington – money he said could help with a vaccine, mosquito control and medical studies, reports Atlanta Business Chronicle broadcast partner WXIA-TV.
