Ladies Night by Mary Kay Andrews was our Meadowlake Book Club May choice. In fact, we were discussing this book at Libby’s house when the now famous Dunwoody walker/talker, Stephanie Kayhan first mentioned her conversation with Tiffany the Traffic Stopper.
How appropriate that my “ladyfriends” from Meadowlake were discussing “LadiesNight” the book and began discussing the “traffic ladies“? … Read More »

This is very simply the best book I have read in at least a year. After reading 11 books so far in 2015, this one is sitting all by itself waaaay up on top of my faves for 2015. If you don’t understand what people mean when they describe books as “beautifully written”, then read this book for an example. … Read More »
Book of the Week Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
This book is what I’d refer to as an addictive page turner! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Many are comparing it to Gone Girl and I definitely see the similarities. Being inside Rachel’s mind is heart breaking but I found myself desperately flipping the pages to figure out what the heck was going on!
Here’s a good description from Amazon:
“The “girl on the train” is Rachel, who commutes into London and back each day, rolling past the backyard of a happy-looking couple she names Jess and Jason.… Read More »

Book of the Week & Giveaway Paper Towns by John Green
Paper Towns
by John Green
I’ll admit that I had high expectations for this book due to the fact that I absolutely loved The Fault in Our Stars (TFIOS) by the same author. It was well written and entertaining but not near the same caliber as TFIOS. … Read More »

Book of the Week Big Little Lies
Big Little Lies
by Liane Moriarty
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s a great tale that somehow covers motherhood, friendship, kindergarten drama, domestic violence, date rape, and a murder mystery all into what is a sometimes light and sometimes dark but always fantastic story. I want to be friends with all three of the main characters…actually I can see many of their characteristics in the women I know and love in Dunwoody! … Read More »

No more waxing our brows girls…………the full, “feathered”, brow is back. Our brows naturally thin out with age, so the years of waxing can leave you with no brows (especially, for those of us that are over 40)! The benefits of a fuller brow are that it frames the face and camouflages puffiness, making us look younger. … Read More »
