2018 Academy Awards: Highlights and Winners

I didn’t spend any time watching the Academy Awards this year.  Therefore, I took a few minutes to scan the internet and found out everything I wanted to know.   In my opinion, the BBC.COM had the most interesting article: Emma Watson, Jennifer Garner and Macauley Culkin – the 11 best moments from Oscars night.  If you don’t mind a little politics, the NY Times has a good recap here: The Best and Worst of Oscars 2018

I didn’t miss listening to political speeches but I do regret not having seen the red carpet moments so loved this article with pictures of the best dressed from People: Editors’ Picks: Our Favorite Oscars Dresses of the Night.Read More »

Books of the Week: Billy Graham’s Best Sellers

Book of the Week – Well Actually it isn’t a book this time – The Crown on Netflix

I’m experiencing reader’s block.  I can’t make myself read but instead have been binge watching The Crown on Netflix.

So this week my Book of the Week is instead…the Netflix Binge of the Week!  Sorry book lovers…I’m cheating on you. Watch both seasons of The Crown on Netflix.  I’m ready to go visit London now and have been spending a ton of time on Google since finishing the last episode searching for pictures of the real people featured in The Crown and who is going to star in next season and what is the current line of people who are heirs to the British Crown (Prince Charles then Prince William, then Prince George).   I love history…and binge worthy shows!… Read More »
