Prior to the pandemic, I would be working on multiple client trips to New York City. It’s simply hard to beat NYC in the Fall or Christmas time!! Even though tourism is down in NYC, travelers are beginning to make their way back (I’m hoping to be one of those returning travelers this December)!! … Read More »
Dana Wexler was randomly selected from all the FB and Website entries! We’ve contacted her and she and her hubby are thrilled! Happy Halloween everyone!
Coach Bass and I go way back to around 2004. I can’t remember whether I first met him at the Murphey Candler Tom Bass Camp or at Indoor Winter Baseball at DHS when my oldest was six years old. So, the first thing I asked Tom when we sat down to chat for this interview was….”What… Read More »
If you’re a little behind on your pumpkin picking this year, it’s not too late! Venture up 400 to Old Milton and about 10 miles to Woodstock and you’ve arrived at a fabulous pumpkin farm – Berry Patch Farms. Family owned and operated since 1978, the farm offers fall pumpkins, Christmas trees in the winter and blueberries in the spring. … Read More »
My hubby and I were out running errands this weekend and rode by the AC Hotel. A light-bulb went off in my head as I remembered the new Bar Peri Rooftop Bar was on the 7th floor. So, we pulled in, parked and went upstairs for the view, a quick bite and a few beverages. … Read More »
The U.S. has set a re-opening date of November 8 for international travelers entering our country. I read somewhere that the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most-visited park in the nation. With over 800 miles of trails, mountain vistas, forests, waterfalls, and scenic views, there’s no doubt why. Between the park and its surrounding tourist-friendly towns of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, there’s truly something for everyone here. … Read More »

La Burgondie Crémant de Bourgogne BRUT ROSÉ from France can be purchased at Trader Joe’s for $11.99. I’m a big fan of bubbles and this is a great one to have on hand. This wine has fine bubbles and is delicate & fresh with a mildly fruity raspberry flavor.

One of my biggest pet peeves is having to run to the grocery store more than once a week. I’ve heard that many of you have to make multiple trips and that is one of the factors in making mealtime so stressful. You may open a recipe and see that you don’t have a minor (or major) ingredient and scrap it altogether or get in the car and spend 30 minutes trying to find buttermilk.… Read More »
I have food allergies and it stinks. I aged into these allergies so thankfully never had to pilfer through baskets on Halloween for gluten free candy as a child. However, I can certainly sympathize with kiddos who have food allergies. Therefore, at my house we offer non-edible treats PLUS the regular amazing candy treats! … Read More »

I was having a day that required tacos and rallied some adventurous friends to try out Let’s Taco Bout It. I dropped the address in Waze and went on my way, past that weird abandoned cylinder building at spaghetti junction, and ended on the frontage road of 85 facing the Big Green Egg building. I pulled up into what can only be described as a food hall in the form of an office park known as Prep Food Junction.… Read More »
