Book of the Week: Small Great Things

This one will stick with you for a while.  Admittedly if it takes me more than a week to finish a book– that isn’t a good sign.  It took me almost two months to finish this book.  However, because so many people STRONGLY recommended it to me, I decided to persevere.  I’m thankful I did.

I wasn’t sure how Picoult was going to come up with an ending that would satisfy me but the SHOCKING TWIST at the end was perfection.… Read More »

Book of the Week: The Sea of Tranquility

This book certainly lived up to its “unputdownable” status.  I simply loved it and have been thinking about Sunshine and Josh all week.  Keep in mind, I’m a teenager at heart and I love “young adult” literature.  I pretty much read it in one 12 hour sitting….couldn’t put it down.

Some “Unputdownable” Books for Spring Break!

My high school BFF’s know me so well!  One of them sent me this article about seventeen “unputdownable” books.  Oh my gosh.  I’ve never used that word but “unputdownable” books are my favorite kind!  Modern Mrs. Darcy defines an unputdownable book as “so compelling I just can’t put it down until I reach the last page”  You can read about all of her 17 choices here or,  I scanned her list of seventeen and decided to download the following 7 to my Kindle immediately. … Read More »

The Ex-Wives’ Guide to Divorce: How to Navigate Everything from Heartache and Finances to Child Custody

Book of the Week: Small Great Things

I’ve read and enjoyed several Jodi Picoult books but for some reason don’t seek them out often.  However, I’ve had four totally unrelated  and random people tell me that I MUST read this book.  It is now in my Kindle and Audible libararies  and I’m going to figure out a way to read/listen to it ASAP. … Read More »

Click here to read my review of this book from September of 2016.  I absolutely LOVED the book so when it came out as a movie I wanted to make sure my family all went to see it together.  All four of us adore dogs…probably because a true angel of a dog lives in our house.… Read More »

Book of the Week: Big Little Lies

I read this book in April of 2015 and you can read my review here. Trust me, it is a great book.

Two of my girlfriends just finished it and declared we must have a discussion.   So, last week over wine, we chatted about how amazing this book is and started comparing the characters to people we know. … Read More »
