To say Audra’s oldest son loves burgers is a serious understatement. The Vortex is famous for their burgers but you have to be 21 to enter… So, for at least 6 years Troy has had his 21st birthday entry on the family calendar “lunch at The Vortex”. That is seriously the truth. When he was still a Dunwoody High School student he drove all over Atlanta with various friends and ate fabulous burgers. Audra struck him a deal to pay for the meals in exchange for burger reviews. He’s busy at college so the reviews are less frequent but always yummy.
Hope everyone has been remaining safe and healthy during these tough times! This past week I had dinner at The Vortex in Midtown. This has been a long awaited spot for me considering their 21 and over rule, so safe to say I was a little more excited to try this place than others. Being a huge Rick and Morty fan (adult cartoon show), my eyes were immediately drawn to the “Pickle Rick” burger.… Read More »
I recently tried a burger from “Rheas take out foods” in Roswell. Attached to a corner store off Canton St, visiting this hole in the wall was quite the experience to say the least. After reading just a few reviews, I was very intrigued, but not exactly because of the burgers.… Read More »
This past week I had take-out from NFA Burger, located right here in the middle of Dunwoody. If you haven’t checked out this take-out only burger place located inside the convenience store of the Chevron by Fresh Market, you need to. The menu is simple, you can either get a burger or a hot dog.… Read More »
Recently I tried the bistro burger from Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar in Chamblee. I ordered delivery via a third-party app, which had me a little hesitant of giving a fair review, considering it will have been sitting out at least 15 minutes upon completion before it arrives to my home.… Read More »
Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! Obviously, I am limited to take out and delivery for the foreseeable future, so comments about service and restaurant ambiance will be at a minimum for a while. Reviews, however, won’t be as I’m back home and in desperate need of things to do.… Read More »

I brought a friend with me to Marlow’s Tavern in Dunwoody earlier this week. This summer they have been featuring a seasonal “burgers and brew” menu, so I thought I would head over and check it out. When looking at their regular menu, I noticed they had added a new burger titled the Marlow’s Melt. Instead of getting something off the seasonal menu, I decided to try the melt.… Read More »
This last week my family and I dined at Bones Restaurant in Buckhead. It was a very special treat for my birthday. In addition to being world reknown for their steaks, their “Bones
burger” was ranked the number 1 burger in the city by Atlanta Magazine in 2015. This burger did not disappoint. No odd toppings were included, just your typical lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise-and a really well prepared and cooked burger.… Read More »
This past weekend my mother and I went to Stockyard Burgers and Bones in Vinings. They just opened this second location in the Vinings Jubilee Shopping Center. The service was very slow so it may be a good idea to wait a few weeks until they work out some of the kinks.
All the burgers are made with fresh Certified Angus Beef, cooked “Pink or No Pink” and served on a toasted brioche bun. … Read More »
Wednesday a buddy and I went to Zinburger, a restaurant on the outside of Lenox Square. I didn’t find any articles or receive any recommendations on the place; I just remembered it was nearby to where we were lifeguard training and decided to give it a try. Although I don’t normally prefer chain restaurants, this place was pretty decent.… Read More »
This past weekend I went to “The Counter” in Roswell with a friend. Uniquely known for their build your own burger write-on menus, this place definitely caught my eye. My parents took me here when I was young but I needed to try it again to compare to the other burgers I’ve written about. … Read More »
Hello readers, I am finally back. I do apologize for the long break between articles, I’ve been very busy with school. Last week I decided to check out Illegal Food, home of the #1 rated burger in Atlanta by Zagat. Although this place had plenty of tasty looking burger options, I came for the headliner: The Hank. This burger is made from house ground dry-age grass-fed beef, American cheese, crisp shredded iceberg, sweet vidalia onion, house made dill pickle, and special sauce.… Read More »
Last Friday I went to Seven Lamps restaurant in Buckhead to try their “50/50 burger.” While searching the internet for a new burger to try, this one caught my eye. Interestingly enough, this one isn’t even on the menu. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous while ordering, but luckily the waiter didn’t act surprised at all at my “off menu” request.… Read More »
