Troy’s Burger Corner: Bones

This last week my family and I dined at Bones Restaurant in Buckhead.  It was a very special treat for my birthday.   In addition to being world reknown for their steaks, their “Bones

burger” was ranked the number 1 burger in the city by Atlanta Magazine in 2015. This burger did not disappoint. No odd toppings were included, just your typical lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise-and a really well prepared and cooked burger.… Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: Stockyard Burgers and Bones

This past weekend my mother and I went to Stockyard Burgers and Bones in Vinings. They just opened this second location in the Vinings Jubilee Shopping Center.   The service was very slow so it may be a good idea to wait a few weeks until they work out some of the kinks.

All the burgers are made with fresh Certified Angus Beef, cooked “Pink or No Pink” and served on a toasted brioche bun. … Read More »

Patty’s Foodie Frenzy: Rumi’s Kitchen

Rumi’s Kitchen has been on our short list for quite some time since I have seen and heard rave reviews. Creative Persian cuisine had us intrigued. I have two colleagues who are Persian and according to both of them, Rumi’s Kitchen is the best of its kind in the city.  Judging by the crowd when we walked in at noon, it is quite the popular lunch spot. … Read More »

Shakeaway- a random Foodie Frenzy discovery!

My husband, Burger Boy and I were lunching in Peachtree Corners before spring break and happened upon Shakeaway.  Ice-cream and shakes are not my weakness but my guys couldn’t wait to get in the door to check it out!

We met Nichole, the franchise owner, and she is delightful.   She explained that Shakeaway originated in the UK and is only recently expanding into the USA. … Read More »

Foodie Frenzy #21 Under the Cork Tree

Aha! Connection Recipes you will LOVE

A common thread that most of our “chefs” share is Murphey Candler Park. Matt is no exception. He coaches all four of his sons in baseball, serves on the men’s board and coaches on the football side too. As if that isn’t enough, Matt is the co-owner of Wright’s Gourmet in Dunwoody with his father.… Read More »
