Buttermilk Kitchen’s “Secret” Fancy Fried Chicken Dinner

By Audra Anders for The Aha! Connection

You’ve quite possibly eaten breakfast at Buttermilk Kitchen in Buckhead.   If not, you need to go…and soon….but get there early and expect to wait a little while for a table.  It is worth the wait…just ask my always hungry teenage boys.

Buttermilk’s Chef, Suzanne Vizethann, is  a local girl who actually graduated from Riverwood High School. … Read More »

By Lauren Townsend for The Aha! Connection

This past Easter, my family friend, Chris Turner, asked me if I’d heard of the Buford Highway Shuffle, knowing my love of Buford Highway. Lunch with Lauren: Press Blend Squeeze

by Lauren Townsend for The Aha! Connection

Well, Dunwoody, it appears we skipped Spring and fast forwarded to Summer. Matt and Nicole, owners of Press, Blend, Squeeze “want to make healthy food and beverage choices easily accessible for everyone, while helping to educate consumers on specific ingredient benefits.”… Read More »

The results of our “Favorite Chinese Food” Survey are in!

Thank you to all the folks who responded to our “Favorite Chinese Food” Survey.   Most of the top choices are located really close to Dunwoody.  This tells me that most people probably don’t like to venture too far from home for dinner on a regular basis.  However, 9 of the top 20 are located on Buford Highway and all but one of those are practically within the same mile (see map insert).  … Read More »

Foodie Frenzy: Blue Top in Chamblee

by Audra Anders

The Aha! Connection

Foodie Patty would LOVE Blue Top and I so wish she had been with me last night when I dined at this great new local restaurant.  First of all, I just love the character of downtown Chamblee.  Blue Top is nestled about midway in between two of my favorite spots, Union Hill Kitchen and Southbound and just across the street from the railroad tracks. … Read More »

Patty’s Foodie Frenzy: Fogo de Chao

Fogo de Chão is an authentic Brazilian steakhouse, or churrascaria, which has specialized in fire-roasting high-quality meats for 26 years. …Fogo is proudly gluten friendly but not vegan friendly…no surprise!!

Fairly new on our restaurant scene is the Dunwoody Fogo De Chao.  The other Fogo in town (Buckhead) has been very successful, so I expect the Dunwoody location will also thrive. … Read More »

Restaurant Reviews: Black Walnut Cafe, Fogo de Chao, and Peachtree Cafe

  • Black Walnut Cafe in Peachtree Corners –  My family dined here for Easter brunch and loved it.  It was shockingly affordable.   They save money by a “fast casual” ordering approach.  I recommend getting your menu, choosing a table, sitting down to review the menu (it’s expansive and you’ll want time to look it over), then send a person from your group up to the counter to order for the table.
