Labor Day Sanitation Schedule

In observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 3, the DeKalb County Sanitation Division will be closed.

 

Due to the holiday, garbage, recyclable materials and yard trimmings collection for residential customers will be based on the revised schedule below:

Dunwoody household hazardous waste recycling event Sept. 9

Dunwoody residents are invited to bring their household hazardous waste, such as paint and pesticides, to a recycling event on Sunday, Sept. 9, from from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the parking lot of Georgia State University Dunwoody Campus, 2101 Womack Road.

Philps Arena to be renamed State Farm Arena

The Hawks and State Farm have reached an agreement on new naming rights for Philips Arena.

The deal will be for 20 years for the facility, which will be named State Farm Arena. That term was the same that Philips held with the franchise which was set to expire next year. We are in desperate need of new instruments! Our band program consists of approximately 150 talented and dedicated students, and some of these students practice and perform on instruments that are as old as the school itself.
