DUNWOODY — Dunwoody Police are asking for public help to find a missing teen, 15-year-old Jackeline Reyna.

She ran away from her home — the Dunwoody Village Apartment Community (near Peachtree Charter Middle School)– on Friday, Sept. 7, according to Dunwoody Police.

Fourth Meeting of the Senate School Safety Study Committee to be held at Chamblee Charter High

The fourth meeting of the Senate School Safety Study Committee will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Chamblee Charter High School.

Senate Resolution 935, sponsored by Sen. John Albers (R – Roswell), created the Senate School Safety Study Committee. Sen. Albers serves as chair of the nine-member study committee. DeKalb Students Earn National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

Several DeKalb County high school seniors have been named among the 16,000 semifinalists in the 64th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. The students have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $31 million that will be offered next spring. Dunwoody Fencers Medal at Regional Tournament

Fencers Madeline Janowski and Sara Gelber brought home medals from the Bruce Fusner Memorial Epee Regional Junior/Cadet Circuit (RJCC) tournament held this weekend.
Madeline earned the gold medal in both the junior womens event and in the cadet womens event.
Sara earned the sixth place medal in the junior womens event.
The Regional Junior/Cadet Circuit is a qualification path for US Nationals and for Junior Olympics

Kingswood United Methodist Church Celebrates 50 Years

Dunwoody, Georgia, September 9, 2018 — Kingswood United Methodist Church celebrated 50 years of ministry Sunday with a special worship service, including former pastors and charter members. Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson, leader of the North Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, officiated and preached during the service.
