Prevent Icy Roads

As overnight temperatures begin dipping below freezing, please remind the residents in your communities to turn off their sprinkler systems or have them set with automatic timers. Sprinkler systems operating in freezing temperatures create hazardous, black ice conditions for motorists the next morning. Every year around our state, there are traffic incidents caused by these icy spots formed when water from sprinklers creeps onto the roadway.… Read More »

For many teens, the battle with opioid addiction starts with wisdom teeth

Note from Audra:  One of my sons had his wisdom teeth removed this past summer therefore this article caught my eye.  We were given waaaaayyyy more Percocet than we needed but our oral surgeon explained that he wanted us to have them just in case the pain was awful and we needed them.  He’s fully aware of the over prescribing issue/leftover Percocets and actually has a program whereby teens can bring back their unused pain pills and he disposes of them in a very unique way. Read More »

City of Dunwoody, my personal look back at ten years since incorportation by Councilman John Heneghan

Today marks the Tenth anniversary of the creation of the City of Dunwoody and I have had the distinct privilege of serving on the City Council since the very beginning. Please allow me to give some personal perspective for those who are not aware of our history.
