Dunwoody Fencers qualify for Nationals

Congratulations to Dunwoody FC fencers Ryan Scharf and Jeffrey Berkowitz on excellent results in the DIv. III mens épée event at the GA Division Qualifying tournament. Ryan earned the gold medal; Jeffrey earned the bronze medal. Both qualified for USA Fencing’s 2021 National Championships. The National Championships will take place in Philadelphia in July.

Challenge Coins awarded for heroic rescues

The late Kim McGrady of Dunwoody, who died while saving others during a riptide at Miramar Beach, his 17-year-old son Colton and his son’s friend Preston Lyn, were awarded Lifesaving Challenge Coins from the South Walton Fire Department for their role in rescuing nine people during Spring Break last month.
