Dunwoody city officials have decided to pay interest on property taxes wrongly collected from homeowners over the past three years.

Dunwoody’s Chamber of Commerce is starting fresh with a new name, new location, new website and more. The chamber, now known as the Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber, moved to 41 Perimeter Center East earlier this month and is now neighbors with the city’s convention and visitor’s bureau as well as city hall.

Dunwoody Nature Receives second National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Grant

Dunwoody, GA – The Dunwoody Nature center is pleased to announce that it is a 2015 recipient of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program. 1 in 5 Dunwoody homeowners owed tax refunds

About $150,000 worth of refunds will be paid to Dunwoody homeowners who were overcharged on their property tax bills over the last two years.

The refund amounts range from as little as 10 cents to as much as $525, according to DeKalb County, which handles the city’s tax billing. An estimated 2,748 Dunwoody residents are entitled to money back.… Read More »

Dunwoody 4th of July Parade

On Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 9:00 a.m., the Dunwoody Homeowners Association and the Dunwoody Crier Newspaper will host the annual Fourth of July Parade featuring marching bands, floats, clowns, animal units and local celebrities. Last year the parade attracted over 2,500 participants and 32,000 spectators!

Donaldson Bannister Farmhouse Stabilization

The Donaldson-Bannister Farmhouse was built in the 1870’s and has been named to the Georgia Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places. Presently, the building is in need of renovation before it can be opened to the public. Update on Mt. Vernon Road Infrastructure Improvements

DeKalb County is in the process of replacing two aging water mains with one new 16-inch diameter main along Mount Vernon Road between Ashford Dunwoody Road and Vernon Oaks Drive.  These required infrastructure improvement efforts by the county are not only necessary but critical for the maintenance and quality of Dunwoody’s water system.
