As we move into fall, the blooming season is ending. Here are a few tips for caring for your hydrangeas in August.
- If your hydrangeas are still blooming, be sure to deadhead them as the flowers fade.
- For lovely dried flowers, cut some stems just before the flowers begin to fade and turn brown. You can hang them in a dry, dark location until dried to preserve the color.
- Once your plants have stopped blooming, prune them into shape. Be sure to cut just above any buds to ensure those beautiful clusters of flowers bloom next season.
