I managed the Drop-In Childcare program at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church from 1998-2001 which was right around the corner from Pharr Road. One day a parent brought me the most delicious tiny yogurt filled croissant snack from Cafe at Pharr. I was hooked. I had to have my Cafe at Pharr chicken salad with a side of yogurt rolls “fix” at least weekly! Even after moving on from that job in 2001 I often went back to get chicken salad! Every time my Mom visits that is exactly where she wants to go!
Therefore, I can’t tell you how excited I am that they are less than a mile from my house now!!! My friend Christine and I had the wonderful pleasure of dining at the new Dunwoody location yesterday. They opened Monday for family and friends and have had a “soft” opening this week. We were pleasantly surprised to have had the special opportunity to meet the owner, Johnny Liu. Johnny’s parents started the original Cafe at Pharr in Buckhead in 1993. Johnny has since taken over the family business and now has 6 locations.
I LOVE all three chicken salads and rotate my choice every time I dine there. (Walnut, Curry, and Celery). Two slices of the yogurt rolls are served with a chicken salad plate. You can also get a better bang for your buck by just purchasing the actual chicken salad in containers to go. Click here for the menu!
