Annual School Supply Drive Underway at Community Action Center
Now through August 31. Help local children in need be prepared for the start of school by donating school supplies to CAC. Pick up some extra notebooks while shopping for your children, or hold a drive with your community group, congregation or at your office! CAC’s School Supply Drive is part of CAC’s Focus on Kids summer campaign for children in need. CAC works with schools in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody to provide supplies to students and teachers. Back packs filled with required school supplies are distributed to students in need as determined by the schools. A list of needed school supplies is available on the CAC website www.ourcac.org
Become a Volunteer at Community Action Center
CAC is in need of volunteers in all areas of the center and is specifically seeking volunteers to work as client interviewers and adult education teachers. Client Interview volunteers are needed Monday – Friday from 10- 2 pm. Volunteers would ideally be able to work once a week. Adult Education teachers are needed to teach Intro to Computers, Money Matters and English for Successful Living. Classes are held in the evenings and Saturday mornings Contact Liza at volunteers@ourcac.org.
