Brookhaven Innovation Academy Approved By State of Georgia Board of Education

At last week’s monthly meeting, the Georgia Board of Education formally approved the State Charter Schools Commission recommendation for authorization of Brookhaven Innovation Academy (BIA) to operate as a state charter school: https://eboard.eboardsolutions.com/Meetings/Attachment.aspx?S=1262&AID=650904&MID=41873.

From the BIA Website:  “Brookhaven Innovation Academy has been approved by the Georgia State Charter School Commission as a public charter school. BIA offers students an innovative curriculum combining Blended Learning & STEM focused Project Based Learning with computer coding integrated as a component of the core program.

The school will open in Fall 2016 with a statewide attendance zone – any student that can obtain public or private transportation to attend school can enroll.”

BIA will hold a informal Meet & Greet on Thursday, October 22 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pour Bistro, 1418 Dresden Drive, Brookhaven .
