Bestselling author, Wendy Wax was in Dunwoody Wednesday Night attending Meadowlake Neighborhood’s book club meeting. Heather Larson invited Wendy after meeting her last year at The Aha! Connection’s “Best Book Club Ever!” Wendy’s current book, The House on Mermaid Point, is the third in the series following Ten Beach Road and Ocean Beach.
The consensus from the neighborhood girls is that we loved the book and thought it was an excellent summer read. I personally was ready to beg Wendy to write a fourth in the series and include MORE of William the Wild! I didn’t have to beg. She promised us that a fourth book is forthcoming and that William will be there!
Wendy lives in Roswell and has two sons in their twenties. She told us stories of how she goes about her workday with research, writing, and deadlines. She is adorable and tons of fun and it was such a treat for this book-a-holic to pick her brain!
One fun twist with this newest book is that she co-wrote a song ‘Mermaid in You‘ with the band 10th Concession. The song is referenced in the book as one of “William the Wild’s” biggest hits. Earlier this summer Heather and I attended a release party for the book and we were treated to a serenade by one of the members of 10th Concession performing this great song!
