Rafael Nadal is Coming to Atlanta and Taking On Grigor Dimitrov Organized by Premier Live this March
Rafael Nadal, who finished 2019 as the No.1 player in the ATP Rankings for a fifth time in his career is headed to Atlanta, March 2, 2020 to take on 8-time ATP Tour singles winner Grigor Dimitrov. Nadal reclaimed the #1 world ranking last week, one year to the day since his most recent week holding the #1 ranking. The 33-year-old Mallorca native is coming off another outstanding season. On Sunday, Nadal clinched Spain’s sixth Davis Cup by defeating Canada’s Denis Shapovalov 6-3,7-6(7) in Madrid. This season Nadal captured his twelfth French Open and fourth US Open titles to increase his career total to 19 Grand Slam titles, one behind Roger Federer. Dimitrov finished in the Top 20 after a strong past couple of months, reaching the semifinals at the US Open as well as the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Paris earlier this month. The Premier Live Atlanta Challenge tennis exhibition between Nadal and Dimitrov, taking place at the intimate capacity Infinite Energy Arena located just north of Atlanta in Gwinnett, is one like the South has never seen! With pre-event festivities including the popular Atlanta based Yacht Rock Revue, this evening coupled with the March 1st Charity Dinner and Auction at Umi Atlanta with meet and greet opportunities benefiting Rafa Nadal Foundation and the National Tennis Foundation, brings Southeast tennis enthusiasts access to the top talent in men’s tennis.
