Note from Señora Bilbao:
My name is Ana Bilbao-Granadillo and I teach Spanish 3 – AP at Dunwoody High School. I have been teaching Spanish for 17 years, 11 of which have been at Dunwoody High School. A fun fact about me is that I graduated from Dunwoody High School, so I have a well rounded perspective of the culture, expectations, parents and our teachers. I stay true to what I believe will make a proficient language learner by teaching to the highest standard and having fun doing it.
I am currently tutoring a few students and have a few more spots open for anyone who might be interested. Once the spaces are filled, I will maintain a waiting list for anyone who does not immediately obtain a spot.
Price: My current rate is $70/hour.
Time: The sessions will be held between the hours of 3:30-6:30, Monday-Friday, no weekends. Each session will be 1 hour long.
Place: Via Zoom for the foreseeable future.
I ask for a minimum commitment of 5 sessions but recommend 10. This commitment allows me to get to know each individual and tailor the sessions to that specific student’s needs. I believe this allows students to get comfortable and ask questions. I like to eliminate the pressure and build their confidence in a “no judgment zone”. Confidence and comfort will make a more secure and self-driven language learner. I will teach them skills that will help them be successful in and out of the classroom.
Ultimately, years from now, my students will look back at their learning experience and know that they had a cheerleader that always looked out for their best interest and hopefully made them even more successful adults.
