Act3 Productions presents Violet November 4 through 19 at Act3 Playhouse in Sandy Springs Plaza, 6285-R Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Violet is a moving musical about a young woman in search of a miracle. The story of healing will resonate with anyone trying to find his or her place in the world. Violet book and lyrics are by Brian Crawley and the music is by Tony Award-winning composer Jeanette Tesori. The show’s powerhouse score features flavors of country, gospel and honky-tonk rock. The original Broadway 1997 production won the Drama Critics Award for Best Musical. A revival in 2014 starring Sutton Foster garnered several Tony nominations, including Best Musical.
