Chesnut Elementary’s Farm to School Nutrition Lesson Week (January 29- February 2), incorporates National Health Education Standards, demonstrates ways to make healthier food choices.
From January 29 through February 2, Chesnut Elementary is hosting its annual Farm to School week wherein all its students – from Pre-K to fifth grade – are learning about healthy food choices. Every year, Coach Dykema and parent volunteers on the PTC Wellness Action Team conduct Farm to School nutrition lessons, which teach to the National Health Education Standards through the lens of understanding how food grows.
