This week, 20 students from Mount Vernon Presbyterian School are teaming up with professional actor and artistic director of the Atlanta Shakespeare Theater Company, Jeffrey Watkins to present this classic American play about life, love, marriage, death, and eternity.
The play received a Pulitzer and the playwright, Thornton Wilder was the first and only writer to win a Pulitzer for a play and a novel. For theater goers who haven’t seen Our Town, it’s a must-see classic! Those who have, will LOVE this interpretation. Mount Vernon’s Black Box Theater has a completely new look in this beautiful play filled with power and heart. Our Town premieres Thursday, Feb 1 and runs through Saturday, February 3.
