The recent winter weather event which brought heavy snows damaged the shade awnings at both the Brook Run Park playground and the Georgetown Park playground.
The city has reopened Brook Run Park playground except for the 2-5 year-old structures which remain closed. The playground at Georgetown Park will remain closed as the city continues to assess the damage and determine solutions to ensure the safety of the area and structures.
