What: An opportunity to drop off furniture to help the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma

The public is invited to bring gently used, good quality furniture to Movers and Shakers Furniture Ministry at 1455 Oakbrook Drive in Norcross on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 8 AM to 2 PM. The furniture will be used to help families in some of the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma and families relocating to the Atlanta area from those areas.
For 14 years, Movers and Shakers Furniture Ministry, Inc. has been collecting donated furniture and partnering with local churches and charities to provide it to families in need. Based in Norcross, the organization currently serves limited areas in Gwinnett and Fulton County. It’s mission is to Live and Share the Gospel Through the Gift of Furniture.
Furniture needed includes beds (frames, mattresses, box springs), dressers, dining or kitchen tables and chairs, sofas and other living/family room furniture. Furniture needs (and items not needed) and quality guidelines can be found at: http://atlmoversnshakers.org/index.php/acceptable-items/
