The 13U Diablos Gold team finished their 2017 baseball season by winning the Championship of the Grand Slam World Series of Baseball in Panama City Beach, July 5th – July 8th. The Diablos got excellent pitching, solid defense, and timely hitting over the four days of play. They competed against a talented pool of teams from Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas and Georgia. The Diablos compiled a perfect 7-0 record heading into the championship game on Saturday against Legends Baseball (AR). After dropping the 1st game in the double elimination format, they captured the championship with a decisive 14-5 win in game 2.
