DeKalb County Sanitation in collaboration with DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond offers residents a one-time opportunity to dispose of bulky and special collection items, bagged garbage and more, free of charge.
The DeKalb Sanitation Amnesty Day event takes place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Seminole Road Landfill (Seminole Road Landfill 4203 Clevemont Road, Ellenwood, GA 30294).
Join in a journey toward a safer, cleaner and more sustainable DeKalb. This event is free to DeKalb County residents — Proof of residency is required and no hazardous materials accepted.
Acceptable Items Include:
- Bulky Items such as furniture, small and large appliances and playground equipment.
- Bagged household garbage
- Yard trimmings
- Special Collection Items such as tires (10 per resident), construction & demolition materials (carpet, fencing, decking, etc.) and tree parts
