Instagram Predator Alert!

Several area schools are reporting about a sexual predator targeting female middle and high school students on Instagram by sending unsolicited and inappropriate pictures via Instagram’s direct messaging function once a student has accepted a “follow” request.  It is advised that you always report any predatory activity to local authorities before deleting evidence or blocking the sender.  Use this opportunity to talk with your child about only accepting follow requests or direct message requests from people they know. Also, it is an excellent idea to make sure your kids Instagram accounts are private.

There currently appear to be four known predator accounts at this time including:
