The Dunwoody Nature Center is pleased to announce that Monarchs & Margaritas will return to Dunwoody Park for the second consecutive year.
The Nature Center’s annual fundraiser is scheduled for April 29 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
The Dunwoody Nature Center announces the return of Monarchs & Margaritas (and, this year, Mojitos) with an upscale casual party in the heart of the meadow where guests can enjoy the beauty of the spring season. This year’s event is sponsored by SCUF Gaming and Oldcastle and will feature:
- Live music by Wesley Cook – chosen by Jezebel Magazine as Atlanta’s best Singer/Songwriter
- Valet parking
- Signature drink: fresh mojitos (as well as margaritas, beer and wine)
- Catering from Alon’s featuring a bold culinary tour with eight tapas destinations from around the world throughout the meadow
- Tented party area courtesy of Classic Party Rentals
The evening will feature auctioneer Christie King of CK Benefits, who will keep the bidding lively with auction items such as beach and lake home vacations; tickets to the Alliance, brand new SunTrust Park for the Braves, the Georgia Aquarium, and Disney; the thrill of the Porsche Driving Experience; exclusive use of the Village Burger deck; an authentic third base signed by Atlanta Braves Chipper Jones, and much, much more.
The Nature Center is also offering the chance to win the trip of a lifetime through its luxury vacation raffle. While the raffle winner will be chosen the night of the event, supporters do not need to be present to win – a great way to help the Nature Center if you can’t make the event. Raffle winner will be able to choose from one of three trips: Experience Bali’s Breathtaking Beauty – vacation home for 6 with a private, in-house chef, Scottsdale (AZ) Golfer’s Dream – an all-inclusive outing, and California Wine Country Escape – including a chauffeured tour of a Sonoma winery.
The spring’s premier social event of the season will be attended by the civic, business and government leaders of Dunwoody and all proceeds from the event will benefit the programming, education, and outreach efforts of the Nature Center. Tickets can be purchased online at www.monarchsandmargaritas.org . The evening will also feature the presentation of the Annual Dave Adams award – the center’s most prestigious honor.
