Assistance League of Atlanta is holding its Spring Book Drive March 1 thru April 29, 2017. All books collected will be given to shelters, children’s centers, schools and children in need. Last fall we collected 17,400 books; these in turn were given to the community in areas of need. Its hard to believe but there are children who do not own even one book. Reading opens the door to learning and then to success in life. Clean new, or nearly new children’s books in good condition may be dropped off at Alice Cleaners, Dunwoody Elementary and Chestnut Elementary, or the Assistance League’s thrift shop, Attic Treasures, in located in Chamblee. Please label books for Children’s Book Drive. Thank you for helping with this very worthwhile project.
