Transform 285/400 Work Begins

Work on the I-285/SR400 Interchange Improvement Project Requires Nightly Lane Closures and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will perform work for the Transform 285/400 interchange project at night, typically from 8 p.m., until 6 a.m.

  • Beginning Tuesday, January 3, one right lane on I-285 eastbound from SR 9/ Roswell Road to Glenridge Drive Nightly, 8 p.m., until 6 a.m.
  • Beginning Tuesday, January 3 through Monday, January 9 – One left lane will close on SR 400 northbound from Hammond Drive to Spalding Drive Nightly, 8 p.m., until 6 a.m.

Exact dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

The Transform 285/400 improvement project is designed to help reduce traffic congestion and enhance safety in the area near the I-285/SR 400 interchange in metro Atlanta. This priority project adds new flyover ramps, new collector-distributor lanes and other facilities to aid east-west travel along I-285 and north-south travel along SR 400. The project will improve 4.3 miles of I-285 from west of Roswell Road to east of Ashford Dunwoody Road and 6.2 miles along SR 400 from the Glenridge Connector to Spalding Drive.
