Brookhaven, GA, November 13, 2016 – by Trey Benton – Improvements to the Murphey Candler Nature Trail that includes replacing the damaged Nature Trail bridge, culvert repairs, stream bank restoration and path improvements wrapped up Saturday, November 12th. After being damaged when a tree fell on the bridge back in November of 2015, the bridge was closed after being determined by an engineer to be unsafe for use.
“Along with the Briarwood Park bridge improvement, this was one of the first projects Councilmembers approved after I became Mayor,” Mayor John Ernst told The Post. “I know it took a little longer than some people would have liked, but it has turned out great. This is just one of the many projects the City will be completing in the next year. We’ve spent much time and much money on planning – it’s time we get things done.” continue reading at The Brookhaven Post
