Dunwoody Robotics played in two tournaments this weekend. Three teams played at West Forsyth High School and 1264B made it to the semifinals before losing to the top seeded alliance. Members from 1264B are Aqil Herb, Alex Hoang, Brandon Shockley, Gabe Green and Valen Lawson.
1264D was the only team at Collins Hill High School Saturday. While they made it to the semifinals by beating the top-seeded alliance, they eventually lost to the tournament champions. However, they came away with the highest award, the Excellence Award, which qualifies them for the State Championship. This really is a high honor to receive at our first tournament. Team members include: Seth May, Ben Shifrin, Robert Lewallyn, Nick Fraser, Andrew Sonnier, and Sophie Zhang. Please congratulate our first team to qualify for the State Championship. A special thanks to Ben Shifrin – his efforts to ensure their engineering design notebook was complete and professional amazed the judges who commented that it far exceeded what others schools had submitted.
