I had the pleasure of seeing an advanced screening of Rules Don’t Apply Wednesday night at CineBistro at Town Brookhaven. It was quite a treat for several reasons. First of all it’s a bit of a history lesson and a love story all in one. I personally loved an up close and personal view of the new Han Solo, Alden Eldrich and was delighted by the performance of Lily Collins. And, who doesn’t love Warren Beatty? I mean, Splendor in the Grass is one of my favorite movies of all time! I remember watching it for the first time with my mom on WTBS as a teenager. Speaking of my mom, she almost flipped when I texted her and said: “Mom, I’m about to watch a screening of “Rules Don’t Apply” and then I’m going to meet Warren Beatty”. “Meeting Warren Beatty” was a bit of an exaggeration but I was on the second row and could see him very up close and personal. He looks amazing at 79…and is very chatty and loved answering questions from the audience. Me, I saved my question for Alden 🙂
