Carol and Christina inspired me to try Hello Fresh. In spite of the fact that I cancelled my subscription after one week I must say that I truly love this concept. The whole idea is PERFECT for my personality. I LOVED having the box show up on Monday because I had not had time to go to the grocery store yet anyway! Voila! Dinner was in the box. I also really love to cook but hate grocery shopping and deciding WHAT to cook. Having all of the ingredients already measured out with easy to follow instructions was blissful. Seriously, I relish in grabbing a class of wine, turning on Pandora and filtering out everything but the wine, the music and the food! My box had three meals and I was truly sad when they were all cooked and eaten and had no more magic meal boxes in my fridge. So now you are probably wondering why I cancelled my subscription if I loved it so much. One reason: GLUTEN. Hello Fresh hasn’t quite figured out how to cater to people like me with food allergies. I chose the three most gluten friendly options of the week. One was completely GF, one I was able to easily modify by creating my own hoisin sauce from scratch but the third was practically impossible to make GF without buying all new ingredients. I’m now on the search for a more allergy friendly meal delivery service. Any ideas?

Take a look at greenchef.com. According to the website, you can order all types of meals – vegetarian, gluten-free, paleo, carnivore. I have not tried them but my sister is about to. There’s a groupon available if you want to give it a try.
