The 8th Annual Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival is a 2-day celebration of America’s biggest backyard pastime showcasing the South’s best BBQ cooking, great food and beverages plus live music and an interactive children’s area. Atlanta’s top BBQ restaurants will serve up their specialties while more than 30 professional competitive Bar-B-Q teams from across the region will compete in the Cook Off event for cash prizes, trophies and of course bragging rights.
The 8th Annual Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 4pm-10pm and Saturday, August 13, 2016 from noon-8pm. The festival is being held this year in the parking lot of Perimeter Mall, 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody.

On Friday starting at 6pm, they have a special tasting event, the Springer Mountain Farms Drumstick Dine Around, with a select group of teams participating. Participating team booths will have a blue flag so that you can easily find them. Patrons can purchase chicken drumsticks for $2.00 at participating team booths while supplies last. All sales will be cash – sorry no credit or debit cards accepted for samples. Get there early as samples will sell out!
On Saturday starting at 1pm, they have a special “Taste of the Pig” tasting event with a select group of teams participating. Participating team booths will have a blue flag so that you can easily find them. Patrons can purchase 1 sample for $1.00 at the team booths while supplies last. All sales will be cash – sorry no credit or debit cards accepted for samples. Get there early as BBQ samples will sell out!
The 8th Annual Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival General Admission tickets are $8 in advance and $12 day of show. Ticket is valid for admission only and does not include food or food samples which must be purchased on site directly with the restaurants, vendor or BBQ teams participating in the sample events.
Kids 12 & under receive FREE admission when accompanied by a paid adult
Bourbon Experience tickets are $35 in advance and $40 day of show. Limited early bird special rate of $30 per ticket while supplies last. Must be ages 21 and up to enjoy the Bourbon Experience. Last year, the Bourbon Experience SOLD OUT, so get your tickets while they are available!
Purchase a Bourbon Experience Ticket and receive admission into the festival, a commemorative sample glass and enjoy samples of premium bourbons! You will receive 10 tokens to use to select your samples from more than 30 premium bourbons. Each sample will range between 1-4 tokens. Additional tokens may be purchased on site at the event for $1 each.
