Lessons in Drawing, Painting and Sculpture
For our young artists who want to visually express themselves, we offer a fun and creative art After-School Enrichment School in our East Roswell Studio. Our after-school programs focus on the elements of art and the principles of design with an emphasis on the joy of creating during our 90 minute weekly classes. Students will learn and experience a wide variety of skills and techniques as they practice and develop their own creative expression while using a variety of mediums – drawing, charcoal, acrylic painting, watercolors, and mixed media.
Each lesson begins with art history, artistic techniques & methods and we then incorporate each in that day’s project using drawing, painting and mixed media. Often included is an Artist of the Week, their genre and the reasons they became famous. We accentuate why they are unique and famous, include key vocabulary and showcase the techniques and methods that made them unique to the art world.
Open Studio follows for the remainder of class when students receive individual attention and encouragement throughout his or her creative processes. Our mission is to inspire the hands, hearts and minds of every student driving their passion and excitement for visual arts!
